I gave myself one last look and grabbed the handle on the door. I stepped
out, gasping as someone grabbed my arm and pulled me out the nearby exit
door.
My heart raced as I pulled free, spinning around in the dark alley we’d
ended up in.
Kozart stood in front of me, a ball cap pulled down low on his head and a
smirk on his face.
My eyes widened. “What are you doing here?”
He dug his hands into the pockets of his torn jeans. “I was in the
neighborhood.”
I glanced around the windowless alley with its giant dumpsters and foul
odor.
“I was in town,” he clarified. “I just wanted to grab a drink and low and
behold, here you are.”
“Said every good stalker.”
He threw his head back and laughed. The sound was just as sexy as it was
over the phone, if not more as it echoed in the alley.
“And I’m sure I don’t need to mention the
dragging-me-out-of-the-bar-into-a-dark-alley thing,” I added.
He chuckled, his eyes lowering to the pavement.

OMG I don't even know where to start. I will say that when I read the blurb I knew that I would love the book... I just didn't know how MUCH I'd love it! Kozart, or Z, is a huge rock star with a dark past and because of this he can't sleep at night. One of those nights he meets Aubrey at a bar after she caught her boyfriend cheating on her. After that night these two strike up a friendship through phone calls and text messages. Kozart finds Aubrey refreshing because at their first meeting, she had no clue she was chatting with a rock star. But alas, all good things hit a bump in the road and the rock star life gets in the way....
So like I stated before this is not like other rock star books. He's a down to eart guy, who doesn't let fame get to his head. I loved the relationship that builds between Aubrey and Kozart and when their hearts broke, mine broke too. Such a great book, it will suck you the minute you start reading and I dare you to not fall in love with Kozart!!!
