Bad Boy Billionaire (A Cocky Hero Club Novel) by Amie Knight

Title: Bad Boy Billionaire
A Cocky Hero Club Novel
Author: Amie Knight
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 7, 2021

Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are excited to bring you the Cocky Hero Club: original works from various authors inspired by Keeland and Ward's New York Times bestselling Cocky Bastard series.

BLURB

Dear Ida,
Never in a million years did I think I’d turn to an advice column for help, but I’m stuck. Moving to New York is my dream come true, but the big city is a tough place to navigate for a small-town, southern girl like me. Luckily, fate sent me my very own knight in shining armor.

Only Whitaker Aldrich didn’t ride in on his white steed to save me. He picked me up on his Harley Davidson, wearing a leather jacket and sporting a cocky smirk that doesn’t bode well for my man free diet. He screams one-night stand.

But there’s so much more to him than that bad boy billionaire persona. He's thoughtful and kind and his six-year-old son is his entire world.

That twinkle in his brilliant green eyes makes me weak in the knees and I’m terrified that I won’t be able to protect my already bruised heart. I should probably say no when he asks me to be his nanny, right?

Yeah, getting involved with Whit would be a huge mistake.
I should definitely say no. Maybe... Possibly?
Help!

Yours truly,
The Billionaire's Babysitter

Bad Boy Billionaire is a billionaire/single dad/friends to lovers romance inspired by Stuck-Up Suit.

EXCERPT

“Did you leave this note on my computer?”
I turned it toward him, but he didn’t even look at it. Instead, he kept his intense gaze on mine. “Finally,” he muttered, followed by a resounding, “Yes.”
My breath picked up and all of a sudden, I felt like I’d climbed ten flights of stairs. “The night we ran into each other at the club?”
“Yes,” he answered again quickly, stepping even closer to me, until we were toe-to-toe.
He was still looking at me like he was going to devour me. Like I was eight of his favorite tacos. It scared the hell out of me. It made me so hot, I could have burned down this house.
“Did you mean it? I mean, do you still mean it?” I stuttered out, my core throbbing, my nipples aching. What the hell kind of magic had the man put on me?
“Yes,” he answered again, this time pulling the laptop from my hand, setting it on one of the chairs in front of his desk and pulling me to him so fast I had whiplash.
He leaned in close, rubbed the side of his nose along the side of mine. “I’m going to kiss you now, Grace.”
He didn’t give me a chance to answer before his mouth was on mine. Those soft plump, pink lips I’d been dreaming about rubbed against my own, coaxing my mouth to open.
And once I finally opened my mouth, it seemed like it was game on. Out the window went slow, sweet Whit. And all of a sudden, his hands were tight in my hair and his mouth ate at mine like a man starving. Sweet handholding Whit now used those hands to control my every move.
He nipped my bottom lip. Licked the top. Tasted every corner of my mouth with his tongue. And I held on for dear life because, just like that, I was drowning in him.
I’d never once been kissed like this in my life. He kissed me like he owned me. He kissed me like I owned him.
With fire in my bones, I kissed him back as he walked me backward until my thighs were pressed to the end of his desk. And without breaking our kiss, he lifted me right under my ass and set me on top of that desk before stepping between my thighs and pulling me back to him where my core was pressed right to the impressive hardness in his jeans.
Feeling brave, I reached around and grabbed his ass, pulling him as close to me as I could get him.
“Mmm,” he moaned into my mouth, before kissing the corner of each side of my lips and then pushing a few papers out of the way. “I’m sorry, Grace,” he said, grabbing the edge of the sweatshirt I was wearing and pulling it off and over my head. “This isn’t going to be slow. I’ve waited too long.” He unsnapped my bra. Sucking in a harsh breath at the sight of me, he placed his palm right between my breasts and pushed me back until I lay flat on the desk.

Excerpt

I’ve always had an inkling that Nate has wanted more from me, and it’s become more and more apparent lately, but me and Nate? That can never happen.

Nate’s Godiva chocolate and I’m just regular old Hershey. Nate’s Armani and I’m Walmart brand on a good day. He’s pure class and I’m just white trash. I’ll never let myself dull his shine. And now that we’re adults, Nate’s on one side of the law and I’m on the other. Too many things stand between me and the man of my dreams.

I try to make an effort to take shallow breaths so I don’t draw in too much of his manly scent, but it’s no damn use. His smell assaults my senses, making me feel loopy and lightheaded. My insides warm, and the whole thing pisses me off. What did he do today? Roll around in oranges and manliness before he picked me up? He smells ridiculous.

“Crack a damn window, Nate. It’s stifling in here,” I snap out.

Nate shoots a panty-melting smile my way like he knows what his smell does to me before saying, “Till, show some respect to the uniform. It’s Officer Trent.” His lips twitch in a barely there smile.

His bicep flexes as he grips the steering wheel to make a left turn, and I blush, thinking of all the ways I want to respect the hell out of that uniform. You know? With me under him. Me over him. Me on my knees in front of him. I smile. If he only knew how much I respected that uniform.

God, get your shit together, Tillie. Stop thinking about the hot cop you’re in love with and figure out how to get the hell out of this car.

I cannot let Nate take me down to the station. It’s unfortunate, this whole bounced-check situation. It really is, but it truly was unavoidable. I think of my good-for-nothing mother and roll my eyes. I’ve got to figure out another way to keep paying her debts off, because cleaning apartments at the retirement home isn’t cutting it. I’m not making enough money to feed myself and support my mother’s bad habits. But I refuse to let her contact Millie and upset her. I’ll pay my mother’s gambling debts forever if it means Millie can live free and clear of our mom.

I look to my right out the car window and notice Hannah, Millie’s best friend, driving her old, blue Ford Escort next to us. We’re coming up on a light, so I scoot closer to Nate across the bench seat of his cruiser until I’m pressed against his side, putting my plan into action. But my stupid pulse still kicks up a notch at our proximity, my body betraying me in the worst possible way.

His head turns to mine and our lips are a mere breath apart.

“What are you doing, Till?” he asks, his eyes genuine, and I almost feel bad for what I’m about to do.

Running my hand up from his knee to his thigh, I lean closer to him until our noses brush. “What do you want me to do, Officer Trent?” I breathe across his lips as my hand ghosts across the zipper of his blue trousers.

We stop at the light, and Nate closes his eyes and leans his head back against the headrest on a groan. I ignore the wetness that floods my panties and my desire to really grip his cock and give it a good stroke.

“Another time,” I whisper before quickly sliding back across the bench seat and throwing my door open. I don’t even slam it behind me as I run across the lane, my arms flailing, sweating like a whore in church.

Excerpt

“Thanks so much for taking her home, Hazel.” Ollie nudged me to get my attention and I turned to look at him, not having much choice in the matter now. I couldn’t be rude. It was a mistake. The green of his eyes was deeper today, less brown. I knew it was the jersey. It was always that way. A bead of sweat slid down the side of his face and he ran a hand through his hair like he always did. I knew it was a habit of his, just like I knew so many other things about him. “You owe me.” I tried lightening the mood like I had with Scarlett. I nudged his shoulder but only came into contact with a pad. Dragging his bottom lip into his mouth, he raked his teeth over the fullness and his eyes heated. He leaned his face close to mine. “You name it and it’s yours, brat.” My face flamed and my mouth watered. Lord, he was a terrible flirt and by terrible I meant amazing. I swallowed the saliva pooling in my mouth and stepped back. “Cut it out, Olls. Quit giving her a hard time. She came all this way so your ass would have a way home tonight.” Scarlett attempted to save me. He eyed me. “Oh, I haven’t even started giving her a hard time yet,” he said before walking backward down the stadium steps, hot eyes still on me. I was thanking whatever gods were listening that he was walking backward. Please, God. Spare me that ass. I couldn’t handle it after his damn lip trick. “You’re shameless, Oliver Knox,” Scarlett called down to him. She wasn’t wrong. Oliver flirted with all the women. I never could tell if he had a preference for a certain kind of girl. If it walked and had tits and a vagina, he flirted. “Bye, ladies,” Oliver said loudly and jangled Scarlett’s keys over his head before doing the most awful thing in the world to me—he spun around and gave me his ass. And God, was it a marvelous ass. Immediately my eyes ate it up. Was there anything better than a hot ass in some football pants? It was round and firm and high and I bet I could have bounced fifty quarters off of it. But I didn’t have any change. Damn. That was just my luck. I was being mesmerized by the twin all white globes when they stopped just barely and my eyes diverted up to see Oliver looking over his shoulder and smiling. Damn him. He gave me a slow wink before continuing down the steps at a trot. The tease. The bastard. He knew how good-looking he was. It didn’t matter a bit that he was my best friend’s brother or that he was a year and a half younger than me. Oliver Winston Knox was fine on a regular day, but in a football uniform he was the stuff dreams were made of. My dreams to be exact. AmieKnight
